My name is Lindsey Scharold. I’m a writer living in New York City. I write about visual art, subculture, and people who are making meaningful, oft overlooked, contributions to culture. Recurring themes in my work include feminism, spirituality, and labor.

My visual art practice prioritizes analog media and printed matter. I’m a lifelong devotee of underground music and occasionally make and perform it.

I hold a master's degree in Creative Publishing & Critical Journalism from The New School, where I studied aesthetic philosophy and nonfiction writing. For most of my professional life, I’ve worked in the arts—most recently as the Project Manager of a type foundry.
